Can I have a sculpture commissioned?
Art From Steel will be delighted to talk to you about special orders and commissions. We can make almost anything from steel and reproduce ideas and or images to exact specifications. Please contact our design team to discuss your requirements.
How often are new sculptures made?
Our artists are working all the time on new concepts and design themes. Art From Steel welcomes new ideas or concepts for sculptures so if you have any suggestions please contact us and tell us your ideas.
Can I keep my sculpture outside?
Art From Steel advise our clients to keep their sculptures inside. However, if you prefer a weathered effect then the sculpture can be placed outside. All sculptures are coated with several layers of clear acrylic lacquer and this will protect the sculpture and resist corrosion. Over time this protection may need to be reapplied and the lacquer is available in a convenient spray can.
Do you accept trade enquires?
Please contact Art From Steel if you have a trade inquiry and we will deal with your request.
Are Art From Steel sculptures suitable for children?
No, Art From Steel sculptures are not toys and are intended for static display and exhibition use only. While care is taken to dull edges and remove hazards the nature of the materials used i.e. steel and the construction process can result in pointed edges and occasionally sharp metal. Many sculptures especially the large variety can be very heavy and care should be taken to position the sculpture in a safe place.
What materials are your sculptures made from?
The smaller pieces consist of only a few parts. Larger sculptures can contain thousands of individual parts, and all materials used in construction are recycled from cars, motorbikes and airplanes. The materials used are virtually 100% steel. Occasionally small amounts of copper and ceramic material are used to create the desired effect. All material used are Non toxic
Are the photographs on your web site genuine?
Yes, all photographs are on our site are genuine and have been taken by Art From Steel.
Will my sculpture be an exact match of the photo on the website?
From time to time some sculptures will have a variation and the sculpture you receive might have a very small difference. However, Art From Steel will endeavour to send you the exact sculpture that you have seen in the photo. This is not always possible with larger statues and we will advice you in advance if we need to make modifications.
